Patrzymy co tam piszą:

Sheep that were habituated to drinking 10% (vol/vol) ethanol solution instead of water were subjected to proven thirst stimuli to study the effect of chronic ethanol intake on brain mechanisms subserving thirst. Sheep that had not previously drunk 10% ethanol were also tested. All sheep were trained to press a pedal that delivered 50 ml/press of fluid (either 10% ethanol or water) into a drinking cup. In some experiments, fluids were presented in bins. All animals had access to only one fluid at a time. Five ethanol-drinking sheep appeared healthy and maintained body weight over 18 mo. They always preferred water to 10% ethanol.

Jak widać owce raczej stronią od alkoholizowania się. Ale jak taki Tomek, który mówi, że nie dzisiaj nie pije, nie może, ale ja przyjdzie co do czego, to smutny, że skrzynka pusta.

I tutaj ciekawostka:

However sheep were together in a pen with ad libitum food, they required less food than other groups of sheep in pens. Also, when they were in individual cages, they ate their daily ration of 800g of food through the day, sometimes leaving a small quantity, whereas other sheep in cages ate all of their ration in a few hours. Certainly alcohol-drinking sheep had a less avid food appetite than water-drinking sheep on the same feeding regimens, probably due to the caloric intake obtained as ethanol.

Ale pod drzewem życia niedaleko pada owca od człowieka, więc możemy założyć, że najskuteczniejszy będzie klasyk znany dziadkom, czyli powietrze z pompki od materaca (slow clap).

5. Conclusions

It is not conclusive if baby schema, or ‘cuteness’, plays a role in the adoption of cats from shelters. Further research is needed to assess the effect of ‘cuteness’ on LoS by assessing this in a larger number of cats across several animal shelters. Future studies should also consider including the effect that cat behaviour and health have on adoption selection. Eye shape as an indicator of cuteness in cats should be explored further as it is simple to measure relative to other baby schema measurements and appears to be associated with cuteness regardless of the quality of the image. This measure needed to be further validated. However, it provides a less time-consuming and simpler method of objective measurement of infant features. This will provide future researchers with the tools to identify the level of ‘cuteness’ or baby schema in a cat image much easier for further research.
